How to Install jacksum software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

jacksum software package provides computes checksums, CRCs and message digests, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install jacksum

jacksum is installed in your system.

Make ensure the jacksum package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep jacksum *

You will get with jacksum package name, version, architecture and description in a table
